Public Consultation

The proposed Australian Standard for Aquatic Plant Names is currently subject to Public Consultation.

Public consultation is a key part of the standards development process. The Aquatic Plants SRB places great importance on the feedback received from stakeholders when making a final decision on proposed additions to the Australian Standard for Aquatic Plant Names.

How to comment on proposals to amend the Australian Standard for Aquatic Plant Names

  • Download a copy of the Draft for Consultation version of the proposed standard
  • Comment on any part of the proposed standard
  • Your comments need to focus on whether the proposed name complies with the protocols developed for assigning standard aquatic plant names.

Public Consultation will end on 14 August 2020 after which the SRB will meet to review comments received and endorse the final version for publication.

Propose an amendment to the Australian Standard for Aquatic Plant Names

Any person or organisation can propose an amendment to the Australian Standard for Aquatic Plant Names by contacting the FRDC.
